PWP is heading back to the Sutherland Shire! Sharks Leagues Club is the venue where PWP was born and will now host our first ever title match.
Our main event is an explosive featherweight title fight between Richie Vaculik and American ‘Quick’ Nick Honstein. Richie and Nick fought Hawaiian opponents on our last show, both impressing us with exciting first round stoppages. In doing this they set up an exciting title fight, an opportunity for two of the best featherweights in Australia to meet in the cage and see who takes home the PWP belt. Richie has been making headlines lately starring in the surfing & MMA film ‘Fighting Fear’. Meanwhile, Nick Honstein has been disposing of Australia’s top MMA prospects and collecting an impressive list of titles.
The semi-main event is a 77kg battle between two of Australia’s most experienced fighters, CFC Light weight Champion Bernardo ‘Trekko’ Magalhaes and Former CFC welterweight champion Shane ‘Knockout’ Nix. Trekko will test the waters at Welterweight, coming up from a very successful stint at 70kg where he has beaten everyone the division has to offer. Nix is one of the most experienced Australian fighters in the welterweight division, making this a very interesting match up!
In addition these main events, a solid under-card is coming together. Representing the North-side is Regan Wilson (Lange’s MMA), who will face TP Fight Team’s Manuel ‘Chalate’ Rodriguez. Regan has been quickly making a name for himself with his recent victories, and Manny has shown himself to be one of the countries top prospects with his exciting submissions. Local boy Mat Wilken (Southern Cross Jiu-Jitsu) takes on Shabe Kafo (KMA Liverpool) at 65 Kilo’s. This fight will no doubt provide fireworks once both warriors step into the cage.
